October 2007 Playlist - David Life
|
When Jivamukti Yoga co-director David Life copiles songs for classes, he thinks about the message he hopes to deliver. "As Sri Swami Satchidananda said at the Woodstock Festival, music has the power to make or the power to break," Life says. With that in mind, Life plays tracks that he feels represent multiculturalism, universality, environmentalism, and social activism. Sometimes, though, he hands the reins over to another teacher. "I set the iPod to shuffle and feel that God is my DJ. It works every time." - ERICA RODEFER Please note: If you do not have iTunes installed, you will be given a download prompt.
